We’re still getting rave reviews of your program, technical glitches and all. I want you to know that you inspired me last week during the snow storm. We lost power for 24 hours. I wanted a cup of tea, but what to do? Then I thought of Laura’s book and all the women in it who cooked without electricity! So, with a metal roasting pan, a metal cooling rack, a covered saucepan and a 1/2 dozen tealite candles I boiled water! Sure, it took an hour, but as the temperature dropped and the wind howled I had hot tea. AND my friends and family were impressed. A word to anyone who might be forced to do this, the candle soot is tough to get off of the bottom of the saucepan.
